The type of genre for the movie, Raiders of the Lost Ark is adventure and action.

The adventure and action genre is shown through mainly through the setting and shot types used

in the movie. This movie mainly uses wide/long shot to capture both the actors and the setting.

By doing this, it gives the audience what's happening in the scene. But they use close up to 

emphasis the actor's expression but move quickly back to wide shots. Also it captures the fast

movements of the actors. Adventure and action movies use cut edits to show the different movement

and fast paste shots. Characteristics of an action movie is fast and quick shots capturing their movement.

Style of Acting:

The actors act very seriously, strong make-up to emphasis the expression on the face, 

also uses to express dirt or sweat. Has a strong present, acting like a hero, has no fear.

 

Props:

characters interact with that enhances the mood of the piece

The clothing of the characters interact with the mood as it suits the setting of the film.

Also the objects around contributed to the mood such as the rope that he used, bag of sand and other objects.

Lighting:

Shadows create suspense and curiosity in the movie. The temperature was hot to express the jungle,

but as the actors move in to the cave, the temperature changed to cold during the movie.

This action adventurous movie is also a historical movie, where genres cross-over.

It is set in a Amazon jungle and cave in South America.

 The genre for this movie is romance and comedy and it mainly uses medium/high angle shot to capture the people in the scene, close up shot to show the face expression of the actors and wide/long

shots to show the body language and actions that the actors are taking in that particular scene. 

The events such as kissing and having a date in the garden can be seen as a characteristic for romance.

Prop, Style of Acting, Lighting, Setting:

• The male actor tries to act very manly and strong to look good in front of the female actors
• Mood lighting, temperature depends on the setting, seems like a summer night
• Park: moonlight, lots of exposure in the face of the actors
• Usually the light for romance movies are warm lighting
• Bird's eye view to show the whole wide space in the scene
• Casual clothes (depends on the movie), but usually very fashionable
• Genres also cross over (e.g. Romantic historical movie)
